Award winning folk musician John Muirhead is coming for a visit on December 5th and we are thrilled. Please give him a warm welcome. This is John's first time at The Sanctuary. Doors open at 7:30 pm, show starts at 8 pm. This is a fully seated show. Tickets are only available on www.ticketscene.ca.
John Muirhead is a Toronto-based troubadour crafting big-hearted indie-folk songs for dreamers, wanderers, and hopeless romantics.
From fingerpicked confessionals to foot-stomping, full-band singalongs, John’s award-winning songs have connected with listeners around the world. With over 100,000 fans on social media, over 3 million Spotify streams, and 13 million+ TikTok views, John is building a vibrant community rooted in story, sincerity, and connection.
John has toured extensively across Canada and Europe and has earned nominations from both the Canadian Folk Music Awards and Ontario Folk Music Awards. He’s appeared at festivals like Winnipeg Folk Festival, CityFolk, Sound of Music Festival, and Sawdust City Music Festival, and has provided support for Canada’s top roots acts, including Whitehorse, Joel Plaskett Emergency, and Craig Cardiff.
As a writer, John has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Simon Ward (The Strumbellas), Michigander, Jon Bryant, and many more, adding his distinct warmth and vulnerability to each new project he works on.
In 2025, John is set to release a new record produced by Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Luca Fogale, MONOWHALES) which will supported by a cross-Canada tour that will bring his songs to old friends and new fans alike.
