Judy Luo (also credited as Jia Yi Luo) is a Toronto-based Chinese-Canadian dance artist whose work sits in contemporary dance rather than music in the traditional sense, even though she may appear in mixed-arts or performance lineups that group dancers and musicians together. Her practice is centred on movement research, improvisation, and choreography, often framed through themes like identity, collaboration, and embodied storytelling. She performs and teaches across Canada as a freelance artist, working with organizations such as Nova Dance and other contemporary dance collectives that emphasize interdisciplinary creation and community-based performance.
